Trader Joe’s, a store that I love deeply, has a new product: Whole Grain Chocolatey Filled Cereal Bites. Imagine: cereal pillows stuffed with something that tastes suspiciously like Nutella. I’m eating this right now, and it’s decadent beyond all belief. What a completely wacky concept for a cereal. It reminds me of crepes in Paris, and honestly, that’s not a bad thing in a not-terrible-for-you, whole grain cereal that you can eat like a snack.
Even better, the richness of it forces portion control. I could eat half a box of cereal if left unattended with enough milk, but this is definitely something that stays in the neighborhood of the posted portion size.
This must be a test product. I can’t imagine that this is a cereal that will be a big hit with the masses.
