14% of a Novel

I hit the ground running with NaNoWriMo this year, and did my best to write like a maniac at every available opportunity on Sunday and for an hour this morning. I’ve got 7,003 words under my belt, and I’m doing my best to build a solid word count cushion before a big project comes through the door tomorrow afternoon.

What’s the novel about, you ask? Lies, betrayal, foreign lands, power, innocence… yeah, I don’t really know. In the end I just decided to make it all up as I go along. It’s almost easier that way. Now, if I could just get my characters to do more internal monologue rather than conversing with each other, I’d be much better off.
