The weekend comes in one consolidated package.
Highlights: A Saturday morning pilates session that left me feeling beautifully stretched out on Saturday and ab-sore on Sunday. Stumbled across four decent $1 finds on the clearance rack at the used book store around the corner. A good phone conversation with my 91-year-old Nana. Made homemade meatballs with my 3-year-old. Plowed through my latest book in less than a day (Telling True Stories, about nonfiction writing).
Lowlights: Weather and scheduling kept me from running yet again. A birthday party at Chuck E. Cheese left me exhausted and brain-dead on Saturday afternoon. The 3-year-old decided to swipe my low fat muffin and give me his chocolate croissant on Sunday morning (or was that a highlight?)
The week ahead: My to-do list is already 14 items long, and the week hasn’t even started. I’ve got conference calls, offsite meetings, cookie exchanges and cooking club on my agenda, so I’m expecting to be busy start to finish. I’m hoping that I can remember to focus on doing at least one good thing for my brain or body each day.
