Another 40: The Final Day

I made a hesitant return to the world of fitness with a great and much-needed Pilates session. I was completely exhausted and very winded when I was finished, but I was also stretched out and relaxed.

With any luck, I’ll be able to ease back into my workout calendar starting on Monday. I don’t have any expectations that I’ll be able to run a 5k right out of the gate, but I’m hoping to walk when the weather cooperates and do Wii Fit yoga and strength when it doesn’t.

I finished another book for book club, Shelter Me by Juliette Fay. It was predictable enough that I called the plot arc when I was only 40 pages into it, but it wasn’t badly written. Sometimes the book club chick lit books are a good diversion from the style guides and nonfiction books that are stacked on my nightstand.

keep those spirits up! love that you cross-train. I’m getting bored with some of my cardio, so working in more hikes and free classes here and there in other modalities. I’ve never tried pilates and you have me curious. Totally inspired by the fact that you make reading happen–I feel like a cave woman.
