The Power of Food

On three separate occasions this past week, I’ve had the same conversation. “I checked out your blog,” they all said. “I love the recipes!”

This always blows me away. I started posting the recipes just because I have a personal tendency to print out a new one, modify it in some way, and then proceed to lose the stained printout featuring my scribbled changes. The result was a complete inability to replicate anything that I liked. From that perspective, the recipe vault has been extremely useful to me. But what I never considered was that it might be useful to anyone else.

I suppose that’s part of what makes my blog interesting. It’s not one of those professional on-topic blogs. Because I’m on-topic for clients all day, every day, I like to have a place to write about the other stuff that’s going on in my world. I cook every day, sometimes two or three times a day, so there’s no getting around the fact that food plays a large and consistent role in my non-work life.

What are the most popular recipes, according to my stats? Peruvian chicken and asparagus salad, bolognese sauce, and my Kinda Sorta Mexican post where I listed recipes for chicken tortilla soup, Yucatan pork and chicken and black bean enchilada casserole.

So this prompts me to ask my “regular” readers: is there anything you would like to see more of? Less of? Feel free to reply in the comments or email me directly.
