Alisa’s professional experience can be summarized in four words: she clarifies complex ideas. She speaks to audiences in a voice that they understand, and delivers projects on time and on budget.

More than just a writer, Alisa’s extensive research experience is applied to all of her client work. She analyzes competitors and industry trends to gain the strategic insights needed to place each project into a broader context. The result: addressing customers’ needs instead of updating feature lists.

Alisa’s experience spans several industries over the course of nearly two decades, and includes companies in the areas of medical devices, pharmaceuticals, network security, healthcare IT, and insurance fraud.  She is a member of the American Medical Writers Association (AMWA), the Society of Technical Communicators (STC), the Public Relations Society of America (PRSA) Health Academy, and the San Francisco chapter of the International Association of Business Communicators (IABC).

In recent years, she has spoken at the Creative Freelancer Conference, the American Society of Journalists and Authors (ASJA) and AMWA. She was also a featured speaker on Freelancer Forum on Blog Talk Radio, describing how the Creative Freelancer Conference changed her business and transformed her into a creative renegade.

Alisa has accrued nearly half a million lifetime flight miles and has visited 38 states, eight countries and 26 major league ballparks. Born and raised near Philadelphia, she now lives in northern California with her husband and a curious Tiny Kitchen Assistant who ensures her eternal gratitude for powerful search engines that provide answers to all of his burning questions.
